[Since people are out and about, Beat's been skateboarding a lot more, but... Well, he does feel a little bad that he basically skipped town on Shiki's lesson and then had Roy wheelbarrow him out of there. To make up for it today, he's sitting in his room and reading. Or trying to. The journal just might pick him up as he tries his best.]

[ Joshua giggles and releases Beat. Of course, at the same moment he teleports halfway across the room to take care of the cups he'd left on the table, so Beat might find his target a little bit... not there anymore. ]

So who's responsible for her being in her position?

--rk!! [He drops out of the air, forward momentum catching him off balance, causing him to crash and roll across the floor. He slams into the wall and pops back up, picking up the closest object to throw it.]

[And he throws--

Or tries to. His hands fade out at that moment and the thing he was holding thumps to the floor.]

Dammit, not now!

[ Oh, and Josh was so looking forward to dodging that toaster. ]

... Something wrong? [ Is that what he thinks it is? ]

[He just has to concentrate. Give him a minute. He squeezes his eyes shut, balling his rapidly disappearing hands into fists and.........wham! There! They're back. He shakes them and looks to Joshua.]

Aight, le's do this.

[Time to pick that toaster up again and fling it at Josh.]

[ Unfortunately he might need that toaster later, so rather than simply dodge it, he catches it in a spatial distortion and slows it to a gentle stop, letting it hover in the air a moment before lowering to the table. ]

Do you want me to fix that?

I don' need yo' help, Prissy Boy! You help 'nuff when you messed up all our lives!

[He rushes at Joshua, ready to punch him in the face while he's distracted with the toaster]

[ Sigh, and Joshua is back by the sink to deposit the toaster in its rightful place on the counter. Must we keep going through this? ]

You do need my help if you don't want to risk even a weak attack possibly Erasing you.

[ Now technically there wasn't any hard proof that Reapers on the edge of disappearing were inherently easier to Erase. It's entirely possible they simply got desperate and careless. But it's true that most Reapers running out of points tended to be Erased before they could actually disappear due to point loss.

And it might get Beat to listen. ]

[Hnngh...He'd been surviving up to now, but that huge chunk of time after the moon crashed through the barrier where he was practically invisible... He doesn't want to go through that again. Especially not permanently. And since he's one of the few left in the Game among his friends...

He lets out a frustrated yell and punches the wall.]

Fine, say what you gotta say and say it quick 'fore I change my mind.

If I give you a few more days, for the rest of your time here it will be as if you have those days.
