AIGHT, so it sounds like a lotta you guys got feelin's or somethin' to work out 'cause of what happened. Not 'cause of the stupid Culturists comin' in, but you know, the other thing.

WELL, IT AIN'T GETTIN' WORKED OUT BY ITSELF.

An' since I ain't so good at talkin' and I know some people here ain't so good at it neither 'cause you got emotion Legos or somethin', I've got some pads up on the trees and I'm gonna go punch stuff. [And if he's not found behind House 10 punching trees with boxing pads duct-taped to them, he's inside helping around the house for once. Mainly, he's trying to clean; trying being the operative word. He does pretty well at sweeping up and vacuuming, but dusting is not his forte. It takes too much concentration and finesse and he spends most of his time catching all the things he knocked off the shelves.

Later, in the evening, he's on the porch of House 10 or out in the plaza and practicing his reading with a flashlight. It's slow going since Shiki left, but he figures she'll come back one day and then he's got to show that he improved or she'll probably slug him in the face.]

[Well, he can't call her Yellow. There was a girl here who had that name already. And now that he's named her, she'll always be that name.]

[After a quick nod she accepted his hand, although her handshake was a lot more firm and businesslike than her appearance implied. Old habits really did die hard.]

You know...you're pretty strange.

[That was a weird shake, but he'll go with it. He shakes her hand back firmly, but with a more amiable edge as he grins at her perceived compliment.]

Hey, thanks, yo! I try t'be one of a kind.

[It took a second, but she matched his grin. Yup, definitely strange.]

How do you "try" to be one of a kind?

'Cause I'm gonna be the best skateboarder in the world.

[He grins wide and then jerks his thumb toward the tree.]

An' I punched a wall clear down once, so trees ain't nothin'.

How 'bout you? I bet you're pretty special in your own way, yeah?

[...Skateboarder? Wait, a wall!? Just what was the deal with this guy? She would have to find that out later.]

Of course I am! [She put her hands on her hips and puffed her chest out with pride. What a question!] But I'm not going to tell you what makes me special. You're going to have to guess!

[Oh man, guessing.... He's totally bad at guessing. He usually just smashes whatever it is that's giving him a puzzle and hope it works out. Phones was always better at this than him.

He stares at Jane for a bit.]

[He thinks, crossing his arms over his chest, tilting his head to one side and closing his eyes. HNNNNNNNNNNNGH. THINKING.]

[He lets out a loud sigh of exasperation.]

I dunno! Jus' tell me!

[griiiins.]

I guess I could, but it's way more fun to keep it a secret. Who knows, maybe you'll get it right on your own someday!
