AIGHT, so it sounds like a lotta you guys got feelin's or somethin' to work out 'cause of what happened. Not 'cause of the stupid Culturists comin' in, but you know, the other thing.

WELL, IT AIN'T GETTIN' WORKED OUT BY ITSELF.

An' since I ain't so good at talkin' and I know some people here ain't so good at it neither 'cause you got emotion Legos or somethin', I've got some pads up on the trees and I'm gonna go punch stuff. If you ain't good at talkin' neither, but you wanna blow off some steam? The name's Beat. Come punch trees wit' me behind House 10. It's good for you, yo.

[And if he's not found behind House 10 punching trees with boxing pads duct-taped to them, he's inside helping around the house for once. Mainly, he's trying to clean; trying being the operative word. He does pretty well at sweeping up and vacuuming, but dusting is not his forte. It takes too much concentration and finesse and he spends most of his time catching all the things he knocked off the shelves.

Later, in the evening, he's on the porch of House 10 or out in the plaza and practicing his reading with a flashlight. It's slow going since Shiki left, but he figures she'll come back one day and then he's got to show that he improved or she'll probably slug him in the face.]

-Ugh! It's good that you're finally doing [Shiki's] your share, but if you're just going to be knocking things down, then why are you even bothering?!

[Haruhi snaps this shrilly and perhaps a little irritably after hearing him knock over the third thing. She was working on something in the kitchen which may or may not involve modeling clay, but now she's annoyed]

Wha? --Whoa! [He had totally not noticed you there, Haruhi and that startles him into knocking something else off. But hey! He caught it!!!

He just ended up nearly toppling over in the process.]

How do big hands make you some destructive force of nature when it comes to cleaning up my house?!

'Cause I ain't got tiny ones to get into the small places!

[He huffs and puts the knick-knack back on the shelf, stomping over to the kitchen.]

[She said, standing from her modeling clay in all her 5'2 glory with hands on he hips]

I got control! I don't even hit the wall when I slide down the stairs no more!

[He isn't sure what capable means. He's pretty sure it's a good word though, but if he hesitates to think about it, he'll lose momentum so he just huffs and jabs his arm toward the living room showing that it's mostly somewhat clean now.]

I'm tryin'! S'not like I knocked everything off!

I know, I'm just amazed at how much you did.

[Maybe it's that not all that long ago she was a mother, but she finds she can't keep up the annoyance and argument as much as she would like to. Really, she's tempted to coach him through how to not be a bull knocking stuff over, and that's even more silly]

[Was that...praise? He can't be sure so he just huffs again and crosses his arms over his chest, being petulant.]

Yeah, well. Not like Rhyme can do nothin' and it ain't fair to make you do it all.

[While not usually one who tends to punch trees, the appeal of being around someone uninvolved in his own personal mess from recent weeks was vert high, and he turned up in the early afternoon.]

[Huh. It was refreshing to hear someone be so...well, straightforward! And punching things out of frustration? Count her in!

Yeah, she had no idea who this person was and House 10 had been a bit of a hike, but still!]

[Someone came! Beat finishes wailing on a tree and turns, giving the stranger a big wave.]

Sup, Red! Name's Beat, yeah. You here to kick some wooded butt?

Heck yeah! [He turns and whoa, that's a...girl. Alright, cool. Guess girls need to punch stuff just as much.]

[She raised an eyebrow at being called "girl". That wasn't supposed to be condescending, right? It better not have been...!]

You aight to use that tree? [He points to a large one with four pads wrapped around it.] I put pads up on it so the tree ain't gonna break for most people, but I dunno how strong you are. Some girls here can punch a tree in half, yanno?

[Wait. ....THAT TALKING PANDA LIED TO HIM.]

WHOA, WHEN DID YOU GET BACK?

[You must be a ninja monk because he so did not hear you come in. ...Or maybe it was because he was too busy punching the boxing pads he has on the trees and the thumping sound of his fists covered up the sound of Aang approaching.

Either way, he jumps when he hears someone talk and whirls around, fists up and ready.]

Whaza--?!

[...Oh, it's Aang! The fighting stance melts into a smile and he waves, clearly having ignored or not heard what Aang was saying to him.]

Wassup, Arrows? You here to blow off steam, too?

[Action]

[Something about an offer to damage trees seems to bother Eley. It might not be his domain back home but he still enjoyed the forests. The thought they might get damaged for no good reason is something he can't ignore.

So the Spirit will be turning up at the aforementioned location if only for his own peace of mind. At least he would have tried...]

I fail to see how damaging these trees will do any good. Leave them be.

[Beat finished punching the pad attached to a particularly large pine and turned, looking at the stranger. This dude looked like a pretty lady. Or a pretty dude.

Beat stared at him for a minute and shrugged.]

Makes people feel better, so that's doin' some good, yo.
