AIGHT, so it sounds like a lotta you guys got feelin's or somethin' to work out 'cause of what happened. Not 'cause of the stupid Culturists comin' in, but you know, the other thing.
WELL, IT AIN'T GETTIN' WORKED OUT BY ITSELF.
An' since I ain't so good at talkin' and I know some people here ain't so good at it neither 'cause you got emotion Legos or somethin', I've got some pads up on the trees and I'm gonna go punch stuff. If you ain't good at talkin' neither, but you wanna blow off some steam? The name's Beat. Come punch trees wit' me behind House 10. It's good for you, yo.
Action
[And if he's not found behind House 10 punching trees with boxing pads duct-taped to them, he's inside helping around the house for once. Mainly, he's trying to clean; trying being the operative word. He does pretty well at sweeping up and vacuuming, but dusting is not his forte. It takes too much concentration and finesse and he spends most of his time catching all the things he knocked off the shelves.
Later, in the evening, he's on the porch of House 10 or out in the plaza and practicing his reading with a flashlight. It's slow going since Shiki left, but he figures she'll come back one day and then he's got to show that he improved or she'll probably slug him in the face.]

I did not mean to question your intelligence. It is your actions I am curious about. In fact, I was suggesting that you could do something rather more intelligent than punching a tree to help yourself, and others. If I thought you to be lacking in cleverness, I would not suggest such a thing.
[Action]
[....That. Was a lot of words.
Beat stares at Eley for a moment. Then stares a little longer.]
...What?
[Action]
[It seems that he'll have to choose his words a little more carefully in this case.]
I did not say that you were not a 'genius'. I am not... trying to be rude. It is just that I... dislike fighting. That is all.
[Action]
[Well, why didn't you say so??? Beat shrugs and smiles a little.]
Guess it ain't for everyone. But why come out if you ain't gonna blow off some steam?
[Action]
...do you not think there has been enough fighting in Luceti lately?
[Action]
[It's really weird. But not in a bad way. It just reminds him of the adults he knew. Beat shrugged in response to the question.]
I ain't fightin' nobody. I'm just blowin' off steam and helpin' people who need it, too.
[Action]
[He shifts a little, perhaps looking a little embarrassed at that.]
Then move your targets away from the trees. You will damage them if you allow so many to vent their frustrations on them.
[Action]
[That made no sense, but he'll roll with it.]
And bro, you worry too much. Ain't that many people comin' out here and if trees can last the storm, a couple'a us hittin' 'em ain't gonna make 'em die.
[Action]
[Though thinking of storms just makes him recall the time he had been controlled and how he had destroyed many trees in the process... Perhaps they were not strong enough for that storm.
Anyway, Eley will just be taking a seat nearby.]
In that case I will watch you, just to make sure not too much harm is done.

Re: [Action]
Could we talk then? Do you have a name?
[Action]
Name's Beat. Nice ta' meet ya, Fluffs. So whatchu wanna talk 'bout?
[Action]
Ah... my name is Eleytheria. Some prefer 'Eley' when that is too hard to say.
As for what I wish to talk about... well, perhaps you could tell me something about yourself. Have you always had to fight in your world?
[Action]
Uh...sorta. I had to do it a lot when I died.
Guess you didn't, huh? Fight, I mean.
[Action]
When you died? But... surely the reason for fighting is to prevent this from happening?
As for myself, no... I prefer to avoid it and discourage it. I have seen far too many wars and conflicts to have any will to continue the path of violence. Only once did I intervene.
[Action]
You must live in a dangerous place, huh? Like... [wait, what is a foreign place with lots of wars....] Uh....
........America?
[That is seriously one of the only other countries he knows. sob]
[Action]
[Confused Eley is confused. Just as much by that as this mention of a place he had never heard of. He shakes his head.]
I am unfamiliar with this 'America'. I come from a world known as Aether, though I do not live in any one country. I am responsible for the planet as a whole... at least its skies.
[Action]
[Are. Technically. Beat looks at his hands for a moment, then shrugs and then stares at Eley.]
Whoa, Fluffs. You pretty important where you come from, huh?
[Action]
Ah and yes... I am important for the health of the planet. Should I disappear, it is likely that the world would slowly die. I do hope that the rumours are true, and that my world really is in no danger during my stay here.
[It's still something that bothers him, no matter how much he tries to convince himself that everything will be fine should he return.]
[Action]
An' I'm pretty sure yo' world's gonna be okay. If time wasn't stopped, then I'd be gone already 'cause I never finished the Game. So yo' place must be okay.
...But damn, Fluffs, you gotta lot of responsibilities, huh?
[Action]
Then again he did just suggest that he was safe for now...]
I see. There is a time limit for this game then? Were you not afraid of the possibility of losing?
Yes... I suppose I do. However, I was born for a reason and it is that purpose that keeps me alive. I do not mind the responsibility.
[Action]
[He shrugs.] Never think 'bout losin' or you gonna lose, s'what I think. Kinda like how you ain't gonna think of stoppin' what you doin', right?
[Action]
[He gives a nod at those words.]
Hmm... you have great determination then. I suppose if you thought any differently, fear may take over. It is good that you remain positive about this. I am sure that strong will could encourage others as well... as you are trying to do here.
[He looks to the pads on the trees at that. Perhaps he really was wrong about this little sparring invitation.]
[Action]
Ain't no good in bein' scared 'bout it. [He jerks his thumb toward the tree.] So you ain't gonna take a swing at it?
