As promised, Beat is at the Battledome about twenty minutes later, punching in the simulation needed for a big skateboard park with its own skateboards and everything. He has his, of course, and his brow is furrowed, not out of concentration, but for trying to not think about something for once. He never thought he'd have this problem.

He turns and grabs his skateboard from where it's leaning up against the control panel and holds it out to her.]

They look like this; got four wheels and a curved board on 'em and this thing here--

--is so you can step on it and pop it up. Ain't too much to 'em, but you gotta have balance or you gonna fall on yo' butt a lot.

[Suki stared at it. It was actually pretty amazing to her. This was like nothing she had ever seen before, and it was amazing to think someone could travel on just a piece of wood and wheels like that. It looked like it was going to break before it her anywhere.]
