[Since people are out and about, Beat's been skateboarding a lot more, but... Well, he does feel a little bad that he basically skipped town on Shiki's lesson and then had Roy wheelbarrow him out of there. To make up for it today, he's sitting in his room and reading. Or trying to. The journal just might pick him up as he tries his best.]

[Adele tries to get around to pull his arm back but can't quite match the young man's speed. She stands, blinking at the dent in the wall, sighs, and turns to demand his hand for an examination but...

Use it like I mean it. I think this might be better suited to the training room we have upstairs? There is a punching bag...I for one, cannot strike the wall like that without shattering something.

Heh, it ain't nothin', but aight, you gotta learn to punch so you take the bag off the hanger. Then nothin' stop you from doin' what you gotta do.

[Yup, don't worry about him, Adele. Unless he gets Erased, he's pretty fine and dandy. ...and he's punched walls and barriers down before. He's like a rhinoceros.]

[It is somewhat strange, how he'd started with pointing out that she would wear herself down if she kept on as she was...and gives her something else to drill and fill her time. Adele nods and leads him upstairs to the training room, coffee forgotten in the kitchen. She might remember later but for now? She needed to learn how to punch 'through' her target. The paperwork could wait. ]

[She holds the door open for Beat before walking deeper into the training room, flicking on only what lights they'd need to use the punching bag in the back.]

[Why's she talking about grates? That's weird. Anyway, he shrugs and forges on ahead into the room, standing in front of the punching bag. Being a kid before his growth spurt, he's still on the shorter side, but he's big enough for this thing and he gives it a few experimental jabs.]

Aight. You punch it. I wanna see how you do.

[He moves to the other side and holds it like in the movies...!]

[Smaller and slighter than Beat this would be easy enough for Adele to take a swing at. She rolls her shoulders, puts her hands up as she dimly recalled her father teaching her when she was younger and takes a swing, striking the bag.]

[He absorbs the impact via the bag and huffs out as he does so. Okay, so she does have a punch, but--]

Drop low, get yo' power from yo' legs. Jus' 'cause the bag ain't movin' don't mean you can't.

[Puzzled, but attentive Adele does as she's instructed, lowering her stance and pushing forward with her legs as well as her arm for the next hit.]
