[Since people are out and about, Beat's been skateboarding a lot more, but... Well, he does feel a little bad that he basically skipped town on Shiki's lesson and then had Roy wheelbarrow him out of there. To make up for it today, he's sitting in his room and reading. Or trying to. The journal just might pick him up as he tries his best.]

"Gone. My hat is gone. I want it back."

[Pin time! He grabs his board and jets it, scooping the book up out of the bush and rolling off as fast as he can.]

[Commence chasing after that idiot.]

[Kicking it into high gear. He has his pins on like always and on this board, he can get some serious air. He jumps and the board bounces off the roof, giving him a better launch to get ahead.]

[While Roy can't jump that high (hey, he's no superhuman), he's quick on his feet. Watching where Beat's going and his surroundings, he attempts to follow after him from the ground.]

[He jumps up on the board and the pins on his belt flash, keeping him suspended in the air.]

Beat drops from the sky suddenly, aiming a sharp hit with his board at the space right next to Roy. But it might look as if he's coming right for him.]
