[Since people are out and about, Beat's been skateboarding a lot more, but... Well, he does feel a little bad that he basically skipped town on Shiki's lesson and then had Roy wheelbarrow him out of there. To make up for it today, he's sitting in his room and reading. Or trying to. The journal just might pick him up as he tries his best.]

..."My hat is"...goh-neh? What? Uh...Goon?

"Gone. My hat is gone. I want it back."

[OOC: Beat is going to be chased around Luceti looking for a place to read in peace. Feel free to have him show up anywhere including in your kitchen for who knows what reason. o/]

[He's working really hard... And he really doesn't know how to read, or at least has troubles with it. Luka remains silent though, watching him. She could tell him how to read it but it's more meaningful if he does it himself, isn't it?]

[He stops midsentence and turns his head, looking right over at her.]

[He jumps and the book flies off and away.]

[Luka also jumps and immediately covers in fear at the scream.]

S-Sorry!! I'm sorry! D-Don't get mad with m-me pl-please...

[She doesn't know what she has done wrong but it must be serious for him to scream like that and throw the book away.]

[Oh god, he scared her and now she's going to cry again. He gets up, waving his arms.]

H-hey! D-don' cry! Dun' cry, aight? I ain't mad! You just got me one!

[She cringes even more when he gets up, closing her eyes as if expecting him to hit her. When it doesn't come she dares to peek at him, but still looks terrified and water-eyed.]

I... G-Got you one? I-I'm s-sorry...

Pinky, that my line, yo. Didn' mean to scare you....

[He does feel bad. Here, he offers a hand to help her get up.]

B-But you are t-the one who s-screamed a-and threw your b-book. S-Sorry...

[Yeah, she's stuck at that. She takes the hand, though, slowly and still looking convinced that she's going to be punched or something.]
