☆7 [action] starting at House 10, ending up all over Luceti
[Since people are out and about, Beat's been skateboarding a lot more, but... Well, he does feel a little bad that he basically skipped town on Shiki's lesson and then had Roy wheelbarrow him out of there. To make up for it today, he's sitting in his room and reading. Or trying to. The journal just might pick him up as he tries his best.]
..."My hat is"...goh-neh? What? Uh...Goon?
...
"Gone. My hat is gone. I want it back."
...The hell?
...Uh. Aight.
"Have you..." ...uh...
...Dammit.
[OOC: Beat is going to be chased around Luceti looking for a place to read in peace. Feel free to have him show up anywhere including in your kitchen for who knows what reason. o/]

[action]
...Makes about as much sense as anything in Luceti does.]
Did a fish steal it?
[action]
He stops and turns slowly, looking up at Amelia.]
....
!!
[And brb, throwing the book as far into the bushes on the opposite end of the river as he can.]
Re: [action]
Amelia pauses just for the weirdness factor. After the day she's had, the distraction is almost welcome.]
Do I even want to ask?
Re: [action]
He turns and looks at her again, shaking his head.]
It ain't nothin!
Re: [action]
Right. Because everyone throws things into the bushes when they're completely innocent.
[But if Beat's going to be like that, she can just see for herself. Amelia will be walking toward that bush now.]
Your hat is on your head, by the way.
Re: [action]
HOLY CRAP DON'T GO OVER TO THE BUSHES THERE MIGHT BE SNAKES. He jumps in front of her, arms out wide.]
I-it ain't this hat!
Re: [action]
SHE'S NOT AFRAID OF ANY SNAKES. But she will stop to stare at Beat, who is acting like an idiot.]
Uh huh. Then what hat is it?
Re: [action]
Oh god, why do you ask hard questions. ...That is a hard question. Give Beat a moment.]
....Shiki's hat!
Re: [action]
BECAUSE HE'S ACTING DUMB and thus deserves to suffer.]
Then why were you saying it was yours?
Re: [action]
....I dunno. You seen her hat? She kinda freaks out 'bout fashion, yanno.
Re: [action]
Uh huh.
[Let's see just how gullible this guy really is. Amelia points toward the opposite side of the bridge, at a bush that's just barely in view.]
I saw a fancy looking hat back there. Maybe that's it.
Re: [action]
Also wow, what. He looks to the opposite side of the bridge. Is there really a hat in there? That'd be awesome.]
Huh? Where?
Re: [action]
Right over there, in that bush.
[Amelia points a bit straighter.]
You don't see it? Maybe someone else got to it first. It is a really nice hat.
Re: [action]
Aw dammit. Beat sighs.]
Shiki's gonna kill me......
Re: [action]
You can still go check, you know. Maybe it just fell on the ground.
[action]
[Time to run over and check. Yup yup yup]
Re: [action]
Turns out to be a book. Huh.]
"My hat is gone."
[action]
Yo, Red! I didn' see no hats over---AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!
[THE BOOK. WHY DOES SHE HAVE THE BOOK?!]
Re: [action]
You don't have to yell. And you didn't have to hide this.
[She'll hold it out to Beat.]
Why didn't you just say you were reading a book?
Re: [action]
'Cause I ain't readin' no stupid book, aight?! You didn' see nothin'!
Re: [action]
[Although at this point it isn't exactly hard to guess what Beat's up to.]
Even if you aren't that great at it.
