And surrounded by angry, chattering squirrels that occasionally throw acorns or pine cones at him. He's using his book to swat the projectiles away, but there are far too many squirrels and only one of him.]
[Beat waves when he sees Sora, and wtf he's going to ask how the kid got here so fast but later. Right now the priority is to get down out of this tree and away from the squirrels.
He grabs onto the tree branch he's sitting on and pulls when Sora pulls on his ankle, but the tree won't give him up that easily. His foot moves, but doesn't come out yet.
Beat looks to Sora and shrugs, holding up a finger as if you say "once more?"]
But really, it doesn't matter how he got here, just that Sora's here to pull his foot out amid the angry chattering of the Evil Squirrels. Beat braces his other foot against the side of the tree and kicks off when Sora pulls--]

[With a pop, his foot comes free and he tumbles back on the branch, scrambling to keep his hold on it so he doesn't fall out of the tree to the ground below.]
[Well, there we go. Beat was free and now hanging from said tree. Oh dear. He didn't seem to want to jump out of it though.

[Raising his keyblade a large cluster of balloons appear underneath Beat. When Beat hits the pile though they'll scatter about. But they might cushion the fall at least.]
He jumps when the balloons appear and then loses his grip on the branch, scrambling to stay on, but falling with a soft thump and the squeak of rubber as the balloons bounce off in all directions.]

[He's just going to lie here on the ground for a bit, Sora. Don't mind him.]
[He lets out a sigh that makes no noise, hunching over in an exaggerated fashion and then takes out his book to write. A moment later and he hands it over to Sora]

[he hasn't heard of keychains being able to do that. weird. then again, Sora said he knew him and Beat hadn't remembered, so it's probably just him forgetting things.
he shrugs a little and holds his hand out. he wants to see these keychain things]
[Sora curiously looks at the hand extended out to him. It takes him a moment to realize. Oh hey he wants to look at one. Pulling out the Oblibion key chain he hands it to Beat.]
[He gives Sora a thumbs up with his free hand and then looks at the key chain. It...looks like a normal key chain. Only with a better design. That's pretty awesome. So these key chains are like pins then? Yep, must be.
Beat turns the chain over in his hands for a moment. Looks kind of dark...But then, so did some of Neku's pins. He nods his head a few times, taking the thing in, and then holds it back out to Sora with a smile by way of thanking him.]
[Sora will curiously look at Beat, wondering what the teenager is doing with it. He's pretty sure Beat or any of the Traverse town dream crew used keyblade. In fact they used dream eaters at first before they had their partners...
When given back the key chain he puts it back in his pocket.]
Anyways, do you need help getting back to the village?
Fine, wanna play it that way, Beat? He's going to run at a nearby tree and jump off it...and start flow motioning towards you. He's all glowly and covered in a purple aura.
